..Or as the Germans would say, "Rumpleshtiltzchen!" (where the story originated.) Our sweet little man seems to love to play play play.. apperantly not the cuddling type, for now at least. It is still his first day.

OH, and did I mention that this first picture Jon is the one playing with him, seems a normal prospect right? .. And.. its 7:30 in the morning... duh duh duh :) haha. Jon loves his new kitty friend, he even got in bed before 12 and played with the kitty:)

TOMS

So, everyone who would like a new pair of shoes needs to check out TOMS shoes. Every pair of shoes bought is matched by giving a pair to a kid who has no shoes. Basically you are buying two pairs, one goes to a child in need.

Just go to the website and read the small paragraph about this guy. He started this program 3 years ago, so far they have given 130,000 shoes to kids in need. I think that's pretty cool:)
..I also just like how they look :) Plus they make vegan shoes as well, so you vegans can buy them too:)

This is my sofa. The center piece of my house. The ONLY piece of my dingy little appartment I thoroughly enjoy. I like that the slip cover is slightly oversized, and that the cushions are slightly worn out. I like that the colors of my quilt and pillows are so vibrant against the green. This is me:) .. So, I thought I would share it with you.

The Attack!

AHHHH!!! Spiders are now, in cold hard fact, the most horrible living thing on the planet!! I can kill the flies myself!! Come and hear the spider tale I tell!

About 5 minutes ago, I got out of the shower and hopped into bed. (I am waiting for Jon to get home from work) I turned to face the wall and there was the spider from HugeSpidersVille on the wall waiting to greet my wet hair.

Being the brave girl I am, I said, I can handle this!! And ran to the kitchen for a hefty wad of paper towels, squished them in a ball then ran for the spider ready to fulfil my heroic act! As I stuffed the towels down onto the spider, something happened, the Houdini spider somehow escaped my threatening squish!!! (WHAT??!!)

Not once, did this escape artiste' manage, but 5 times!!! As my courage began to turn to weakness and fear, the loathsome eight-legs did something HORRIBLE, in all its unholiness, it JUMPED onto my hand!

In that moment, any ounce of hope and courage of this beast being sent to its maker, exploded to pieces and I let a blood-curling shriek rip through my throat and went into hysterics while the little devil vanished under my bed!! Once I calmed myself, I moved the bed in attempt to find the little creeper, but to no avail. And here I am perched atop my bed, not wanting to sleep, or even to put my head down for fear of the eight-legged beast to take its revenge on me in my sleep. ...really, what would you do.

So, I called my strong and brave shamen in shining shoulder pads (reference to Jon's WOW character) and told him there was an emergency and he needed to come home at once!! He asked what was wrong, so I told him.. and he did not come home. No, there is no happy ending to this tale. Hopefully, I can survive the night...

OH, the NEGLECT!!

My poor blog, I have neglected it so. In my defense, I don't have much to say, so I will make a little synopsis of what I have been doing with my limited free time:

Last week went to see Linds, Peou, and sweet little Finn, enjoyed myself thoroughly:)) (can't wait to move Linds!)

For the fourth of July, Jon and I went to see The Proposal, which we both enjoyed, I mean predictable, but very fun:)

This week I have been working my fanny off. 40 hours of non-stop bells... one bell, two bell, 3 and 4 bells ringing in my head, even in my dreams!!

Currently, I am shaky from my (seemingly) never-ending headache. Missing mama, as she is on her cruise and I went to collect her mail. And with all thats going on I still feel happy:) Jonny and I have been spending more time together and I so enjoy it:) Even though our opposite shifts make it difficult. I hope everyones day is going well. I miss all my sisters and hope everyone is having a wonderful week :) peace out.

Untitled.

Well, I cleaned my whole appartment last night, from floors to cabinets, sinks, and laundry, and now all I can smell is cleaner. It is all fresh and bright, a lightly overcast morning (my favorite kind) and I'm in a generally good mood:) Although, I HATE that I never have new fun pictures to put up.. but the only things I have done this morning are eat a bowl of LIFE cereal, watched the TODAY show, (since I can't get Good Morning America!) played guitar hero, stared out the window for a considerable amount of time, then turned on the ol'laptop. I can't imagine photographs of any of these things would be very interesting.
Anyway, no rhyme or reason to this blog other then I'm simply BORED, but still in a good mood:) Gunna head over to mommas in a bit, little miss Lily will be visiting. I am going to attempt to photograph her for fun:) then its off to work I go. Hope everyone has a lovely day. I miss all you sisters!

New Day

Well, Disneyland was so much fun! A good break from the worries at work and home. (Thanks Mom!:)) I am happy to be home though too. I miss Jon everytime I'm away and its always special to come home to him:) Just getting some things done around the house before tomorrow when its back to work, reality. Feelin' Good :)

Yay! I have lost 2 and a half pounds this week:) Now, I can swear by it, if anyone wants to lose weight, STOP EATING THE SUGAR!! I don't mean sweets, I mean cereal, juice, fruit snacks, even lemonade! Try and keep your sugar down to 20 grams a day. The average person in the early 19th century consumed 16 grams a day. The average american in the early 20th century til now consumes around 360 grams a day! WHOA! Try to find low sugar foods, I swear you will feel better!:) I don't even want that ice-cream in my freezer or those yummy brownies on my counter, I am perfectly content:)...for now, and if I keep losing, it's definitly worth missing out on a few brownies:)

Self-Portraits are NOT easy.

I have decided I really have no idea what I look like. When trying to do a self-portrait featuring me as Alice following the rabbit, I realized trying to paint yourself is much more challenging than expected. At first, I thought I was maybe doing alright until Jon came in the room and said, "Is that girl supposed to be asain? with your hair?"... failure. Oh well, still working on it, anyway here is a picture of my progress:)(click for a better view)

..Of course, I felt the need to make my hair longer, who ever heard of a Alice with short hair?...Or red actually. Oh well:)

Blog "Face-Lift"

WELL... since I can't think of anything to say that will interest anyone, I decided to change my blog a bit, now at least if I have nothing new to say, you have something new to look at:)

My creative energy seems to be bottled up with no outlet and I feel like I'm going to implode. Because I haven't given myself a way to let that creativeness out, its become a dark, gaping whole sucking from the inside out and pretty soon i will be sucked right out of existance. Hmm.. maybe that didnt make sence. ah whatever. :) I miss everyone. Someone tell me something exciting :)

P.M. Update

Well... the future is looking a little brighter. I am now re-enrolled at Paul Mitchell, this time for the fall classes starting November 1rst. Hopefully, (and I am really counting on it) I will be able to transfer to Trader Joe's Modesto. If not, I am hoping there will be more open-minded feelings towards getting another job.
In the meantime, I am trying to be positive about my work enviorment, trying to actually enjoy it. ...Just an update.

What a Month!

April, it was so great! Unfortunately, as it ends the problems are rising all over again. Angie and the fam are getting ready to head back overseas annnnd most of you know by now my plans are to move the the valley coming up next month, but work has just decided to throw me a curve ball and say, "Hmmm.. don't think we can really use you and your hubby after all." ... WHATTT???!! Everything was just going too well. For those of you prayer warriors out there, I could use a little extra help. I really want this move to go smooth and be able to have jobs at the end of the day. If I don't have a job, my dreams might have to, once again, be put on hold. anyway... that's my depressing news for the day...

Oh My!

My apologies, dear friends and family for being the boring one who always forgets to post blogs. But in my defense, you all should know how extremely forgetful I am:)

A quick update: We (Jon and I) now have a desktop so I will be on more frequently. I am going to Mexico in one week and intend on having a GREAT time:) And... I pierced my lip. Moms reaction was it looks horrible. Dads reaction was a sad face as if to say I was ruining my "looks." Katy from work "What did you do to your face??!" My reaction you ask? Love it:))))) No, no ones opinion can dampen my ever-inspired spirit:)

And by the way, Jon thinks its cute:)

The Fanny-Pack is Back

I admit it, No, wait, let me just first state I have always hated the fanny pack with everything in my soul. Now, I am leaving for Disneyland tomorrow and thought, you know, I could probably make a fanny pack that doesn't look like a fanny pack if i use a cute belt and cut up a cute purse or something.. So, I head online as I always do to see what other person has had this idea before me and how their attempts have turned out and whether or not I should even attempt. And lo and behold, on the runway, they are EVERYWHERE! Look and see for yourself:

Well if anyone wanted to see how my shoot with Jess turned out, this is how, and it was like pouring rain by the way, not a drizzle. AAAnd I was barefoot I couldnt feel my feet for an hour! But it was Oh so much fun:))

customers, rain and movies, oh my!

What a weird day, I have to say I thouroughly (spelling?) enjoyed it:) Work and all, the rain washed all my thoughts away and my brain felt refreshed and ready to go:) Despite the twinge of a "headache hangover" and some rude lady complaining that there was "a beggar that ought to be delt with" outside TJ's (when really it was a salvation army member collecting charity,) the day went quick and most of the customers were cheery! (except the ones that hated rain) I guess you can't please everyone.

I finally got around to watching the movie Amelie, which has been recommended to me several times, it is now my favorite:) AAAnd I aquired a HUGE TV for free to watch it on :) Now I don't have to squint terribly to see the subtitles and cause more headaches than neccesary! (Thanks Gina!) ...maybe it doesnt seem like such an exciting day when reading this blog, but there is something about the rain, it just renews my whole outlook on every topic, it makes me soo happy! :) Anyway, I hope everyone else had as much of a wonderful day as I did:)

Mary Burr.

The name was perfect... Mary Burr. An expressionless name to match the expressionless lump of human in front of me. It all started with my perky, "HI! How is your day going?! Are you enjoying that sunshine? Find everything you need??!!!:)))" The reply (if it can be so named) came in less then a syllabol. It was hardly a sound, more like a, "m."

Her eyes never met mine, though I am sure if she was looking at me, I wouldn't have been able to tell due to the lids that drooped over her "void of emotion eyes." I smugly withdrew my extended joy. My attention then turned to the reciept printing, thats when I had noticed the name. "Well, here is your reciept, and have a nice day." She waddled her way around the register, grabbed the bag, left the cart and went along her path of nothingness. Oh boy, another wonderful day at TJ's. Can't wait to see what new soul walks into my life tomorrow...joy

It is the New Year!

There are a few things I have decided that I would like to accomplish this year. Mabye writing it down, (or typing) will help motivate me even more. Lets hope so:) So, here we go:
The Top 5 Things I must Accoplish This Year!! :)

1. Get scuba certified!! (after all, this is the very best place!)
2. Find an appartment that contains space enough for Me, Jon, and a closet.
3. Go sky-dyving (I know, I stttttiiilll haven't gotten around to it!)
4. At least get enrolled in cosmo school.
5. Be a bit healthier

I've Been Sucked In

Well, I have done it now.. I always thought blogging was for (sorry to say it) stuffy, concieted people who wanted nothing more than to drone on about how wonderful they were or how I should feel so incredibly sorry for their sad little lives. Lindsey, Sara, Ang, Mom and Jolene just kicked my (or what I thought was) "cleverly seeing through people" in the butt. Now, I can't wait to see whats new on the list of blogs I cruise through at the end of the day. All you little Inspire-ers, you:) (is that a word Linds? Inspire-ers?)

Hopefully my little brain can muster up the smallest bit of creativity to make something interesting enough for the rest of you to read in this blog-trial-period :)
